SOCIAL NETWORKING AS AN EDUCATIONAL TOOL

 

Social networks have a long history in education. Social and technological developments cannot be ignored. But in education, not every student can be expected to benefit from these developments. The important thing is how to use the tools.These tools are web 2.0 tools. The main idea of ​​these tools is the use of collective intelligence. The web has always supported some form of social interaction such as computer conference, e-mail. Their level of social interaction has become an established component of education.The clever use of web 2.0 technologies in education addresses this call for students to develop 21st century skills. Blogging, wikis, e-portfolios are excellent tools. Moreover, they provide a public forum. 

Technologies that are more dominant in the activities of young people have been addressed by researchers, academics and teachers as methods of applying and spreading their thoughts. Printed journals and books in many scientific disciplines are out of fashion for research. What is different about Web 2.0 technologies is that real interaction and collaborative research takes place in a global environment.We must get information from tools that now interact with other people. Blogs and vikis are ideal tools for this.

Padlet is a tool for collaborative activities by creating digital boards. Padlet is very easy to use and is an  effective tool in lessons. You can customize it as you wish, and post your plan and program on the board. You can make your notes, videos, images and many virtual materials you want to keep in a padlet. You can also work in a common area tih your students or people you teach private lessons. You can share the board you have created and create a working environment with the people you want.
